You are the educator, the staff member, the one who sees the students day in and day out. You read between the lines and see the needs first hand all day every day.
Just because the need is there, does not mean the need is always met. Our heart at DeWanna's Closet is to meet you, the educator, where you are and attempt to utilize any resources we have in our own community to meet those needs. Our little closet has grown tremendously since its start, and we are happy to say we've served thousands of students across our parish with simply the hard work, dedication, and resources of those in our very own community.
We believe that by empowering and supporting teachers and students in our community, we are investing in the betterment of Calcasieu Parish as a whole. When teachers are supported and students are given resources they need to thrive, together we are investing in the future.
